Beyond the Poets springboard Beyond the Lovers ambition Beyond the contemplation of Nothing And beyond the pursuit of All
There is a silence. Its depth is deeper than any Abyss, for an Abyss has no depth, just infinite falling. In this silence lies emotion; the spiritual awareness of Chaos, and vastness of space It begins with the Abyss, but it has ground That ground is; absence.
And in this silence comes a rest, a submission A silent recognition that All Is.
So go and hunt the God Call on the spirits, raise the dead Do what you can to contact the Divine And fight those Demons. Beg of those Angels Swing thy sword
When the battle is over, the field will shine with crimson and there will be nothing but the warmth of the Sun.

Youth got the best of me I traveled far and wide Looking for the rest of me I didnt want to hide And as I went through this world taking it in stride I found a love of life I healed the love that died
As I chased my voice thinking that Id find something great and perfect something undenied I found a Truth that I already knew in my heart but not my mind
So here I am talking a poet I could be a Man that might go down in the text of history Instead I sit in silence as I ponder on this Truth However do we manage to outlive our youth

The sound of silence
Hello darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping Left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone Narrow streets of cobblestone 'Neath the halo of a street lamp I turned my collar to the cold and damp When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light That split the night And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw Ten thousand people, maybe more People talking without speaking People hearing without listening People writing songs that voices never share No one dared Disturb the sound of silence
"Fools" said I, "You do not know Silence like a cancer grows Hear my words that I might teach you Take my arms that I might reach you" But my words like silent raindrops fell And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed To the neon god they made And the sign flashed out its warning In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets Are written on the subway walls And tenement halls" And whispered in the sounds of silence

With silence there is naught and with naught there is no crime except that life is not naught and so, we must do and in doing, we become and as we become, we are and as we are, we will be and in being, we interact and in interacting, we do and in doing, we do wrong, and right
What is right in our actions? So much art has confused this process As Plato warned
Where are the days that I could place my hand gently upon your shoulder or back without being accused of molesting you?
Where are the days that I could give you a gift and not be accused of wanting something in return?
Where are the days when I could trust my neighbor has my best intentions, and has the best intentions for me?
How did we fall victim to these fears, fear which are so easily conquered? Oh Man, what has become of you? You no longer concern yourself with understanding, or the desire to be understood. You fail the intelligence that was a gift from the Gods, and you bring shame upon your house.

Its so difficult to be a voice of "whats happening" because what is happening is everything. Right now everyone has a voice and one cannot really say what "we" are doing.
It looks like we are headed to a contractual environment, where we have to say exactly what we want and what we want in return, prior to any action. I think this will eventually lead to legalized prostitution. Everything will be a contract, and a trade- except perhaps for those services that will provide for the poor.
On a side note, my parents are Catholic, and as many of you can see from the names of hospitals and other places, this religion has provided services for us over the years, services that come with a standard- a standard that is more or less adopted by non religious doctors. The problem is people are now eligible for services that the church wont support, and religious doctors do not want to perform, and this is going to lead the church out of this industry. Eventually we will no longer stop people from wanting to take their lives, and we will legalize and normalize assisted suicide. This may or may not be dangerous- for the day might come when life has no value to those that cannot provide for themselves, and if that happens, then the govt might decide they have no value too. In a democracy, popular opinion and the voice of the educated AND ignorant have a say in our leaders, and with media so easy to own and control, without moral watchdogs, this world might be overrun by a majority that has lost its concern for human life and dignity. The church is indeed off center now, but something has to come to replace it- something logical and life affirming- and something that will be available to everyone from the simple mind to the complex. Philosophy and ethics cannot be reserved for the elite. Do we need God? God is a mystical tradition of finding hope and inspiration, and as such, we will always have some measure of inspiring this sensation, but without moral conscious, it is dangerous. Crowley thought he had the answer, but he is no moral compass- his tradition is about experience and innovation, and morality will restrain that. The day may yet come where we begin to fear each other and our institutions, in fact, its already happening. If the church doesn't change its doctrine, it will be destroyed, and so will the logic of the fallacy of ignorance and the need for tolerance and forgiveness.
