Ever since I was a boy A very small little boy Since I have been a boy A child fallen from my mothers arms Not to be picked up again
I have wondered about Love And where it is, when I am told That it is all around And that it is the Law And that if we betray it we burn in Hell
So I sat around my family Aunties and Uncles and Gram and Gramp Watching them bicker about this and that About friends and society, and other family About how no one is Good enough for them
And I sat in the Church and listened And looked around at the scowling faces And I knew their Sin, it shined in their smiles Because this is a selfish World And its full of liars
No one has to Love you No one has to care No one has to pay your bills No one has to stay right there
This place is filled with crime Against the Heart, against the mind Its filled with selfish Desire And no one takes the time But even though all of this is True We still pretend and say "I Love you til my dying day"
