What an absolute shithole. I recall Democrats always trying to sell this kind of image in their talking points when I was younger and here we are under democratic leadership.
Lol people paying way too much to keep residing there ๐ Y'all should move. Fires, earthquakes, train robberies, taxation, overpriced goods that people get first before midwest (ironically cheaper than there) I'm sure there are plenty of better places in the USA

To be honest, in my travels, I've come to see that housing in Alabama is very affordable and very good quality and style, compared to many other places across the nation. You can get a lot of space and quality building material for much less here. I make less than 100k a year but live in a rather spacious 2 story house with a large backyard in a great area of town with some of the best schools in the state and country. And on top of that, mostly reasonable taxes, laws and policies. It's no wonder a lot of people are moving here, and we are indeed getting more and more people from California, as well as other big metro areas from across the country.

Careful, everyone moving there may turn it into a shithole.

Careful, everyone moving there may turn it into a shithole. Oh, it's well on its way. My prediction is that Huntsville may very well become similar to Austin. Which, Austin is a wonderful city, but a huge far-left hotbed, as you know. We have a lot of people moving here from very liberal areas and it's already affecting the culture in my city. They want to come here, tear down our statues and "teach us" how to live. You know. From those really successful and peaceful areas they come from. Delusional. I'm all for growth and businesses and people moving here - but there are downsides and I'm not sure how much we can really fight them.

you may not have to fight them. they may just fade away when things change from the truth.

This thread just reminded me of this song.
"No one ever tells ya, you'll die in California"

You can get a prettry average run of the mill house in Anaheim California (my birthplace..I no longer live there) for... www.zillow.com/homedetails/1237-S-Hampstead-St-Anaheim-CA-92802/25226677_zpid/ LOL

Yeah the crime and homelessness is pretty bad here and rent and housing prices are ridiculous...I am thinking of leaving for Arizona, but my kids are all here, and my mom is in Anaheim... My youngest daughter rents a small 2 bedroom apartment in Laguna Nigel for about 3500. a month!! Crazy This same daughter worries the crap out of me, because she and my oldest sons girlfriend like to go to pop up bars in seedy parts of Los Angeles..The crime has been bad in LA! not to mention human trafficing!!!

But definitely not this. I can agree on her sounding typical. I mean...yeah...just mousey, cute girl pop singing. Although I do really like it when her Scottish accent shows through. And I think that the pop style of it makes it work. I mean, "cute girl singing" is enough for me, lol.
