I saw a blurb online that said SP has finished a dbl album. I wonder what hes got to say that could fill two albums, what with his piss and vigor gone. Probably just going to be shoe gaze and lovelorn, maybe something about children and marriage?

20 songs is his version of a double album. That's not a double album in my opinion. Marketing gimmick. MCIS was 28 songs a 10 song album is barely an album. Just 2 more songs than SAOSB lol. Nice try. It's a regular album imo.

Gish had 10 songs, BUT...they also had a lot more songs that weren't on that actual album. And right now we only know that 3 songs didn't make it. We don't even know if he's actually telling the truth about 3 songs existing hahaha! Again, could just be blowing hot air out of his mouth to make him sound more musically creative than he actually is. *shrugs* Maybe old Bill should offer up (ha! Song pun) one of those tunes that didn't make the cut and let us critique his version of trash lol

apparently a single cd of 17 songs is considered a "double album," since that's what he has been calling 17 songed Cotillions.
I thought he was also referring to the 20 songed SAOSB vol.2 as a "double album"
When I think "double album" I think 28 song, 2 cd MCIS.
So....he must be going by some other definition or criteria. My thinking is apparently stuck in the 1990's.

Nope, that's not gonna fly with me. Maybe for the fans that like and agree with everything he says and does. That's 1 album. Try again Billy. Can't pull that bullshit with me or Belte. Not stuck in the 90's, we just manage to have standards with double album language

Not stuck in the 90's, we just manage to have standards with double album language I mean, by that definition - Adore is a "double album" and Machina might as well be, especially if you count the Japanese version which has 16 songs due to the addition of "Speed Kills" Just feels like marketing language and like he's trying to talk things up. Which I'm fine with on a certain level, but I think fans get mislead at the same time. Because when we think "double album" we think MCIS.

Maybe he can't handle doing a double album with 28+ songs now days.

Hmm....considering his over-all, general output, I think he could. I think he doesn't think the public would appreciate it, though. Which is likely true.

gonna play devil's advocate and say that Vol. 1 and vol.2 of Shiny = 28 songs tho....... Nah, I get you tho....MCIS 2 for the current tymez (meaning different musically, of course). One big wham/bam/thank u ma'am piece of work. That would be nice.
