Well its here. Only took a couple months to get to USA, with them saying they think its been here for 6 weeks. The window of knowledge is never open to the actual movements of these things. So what do you think? Is it going to be a seasonal virus like the flu, or do you think it will be year round? I read a few things one is that people who recovered from it can still be carriers and infectious and two: you can get it more than once. If its not seasonal, this could be the real deal.

Someone pointed out that every time there's an election a virus happens. I haven't looked into the facts of that, but it's suspicious Media loves to add fear into the public for ratings Doctors have been telling the media to stop doing that. I've never heard about anyone being able to get it twice. Could be a seasonal thing, but maybe not. Guess we will find out eventually

I don't know about other towns, but it is CRAZY here...lines at all of the stores, and they are out of so many items...People have gone into a panic and are hoarding, fighting with each other (witnessed someone yell at someone today) I have never seen anything like it! I worry more about the economy and society than this virus not to say the virus isn't bad, just that people are being like Lord of the fricken Flies!!! No one out there has any empathy for others it's just a "I'm taking for me and not sharing" attitude. I worry about those who are in real need

This is quite the concern with older folks. My mom is near 70 and I'm doing what I can to get her things she needs. She still says "I can go out and grab a few things" That will is great, but when you have people working in businesses and they don't even know they have the virus, that doesn't help my worry. My children's schools are closing Wednesday. I pulled my youngest from going today and tomorrow. Screw that. He has asthma and a cold already can cause problems and has. He's here with me. My 19 year old had to go back to school so they can most likely pack up and return home Tuesday. I will know today what will happen. Yes, people are panicking and yet they keep in going out and into places People just cant stay home for shit. Online ordering comes in handy during these times. Stay safe! I'm gonna try. If I do get sick, my job will pay 14 days of being home. That doesn't include vacation or sick pay earned.

My 19 year old received a call from his father today who has a friend in the military (high ranking), and my oldest son received a call from his friend who is I the National Guard saying in 48 hours the entire country will be on national lockdown. Also have a coworker who is in the military and he "called in" today probably got orders. Thought I'd share

What is National Lockdown? I am running out of meds and I need to go get them. Will the buses still run? Cabs? Only necessary services? No going to work for a lot of people I assume?

I don't have the answers People are supposed to be at home and they keep going out and about. People needing prescriptions will most likely be allowed to do so. Anyone without a valid reason to be out should be at home. So grocery shopping, prescription, necessary doctor appointment, is what I'd suspect to be necessary. Along with the emergency workers which includes daycare providers for the emergency working people.
I'm not saying what was informed to me as being true, but just figured I'd pass it on. Although since people wont stay home, they will have no choice but to do this. May need papers to be outside (a friend received one from his job in California) No papers, then you'll probably get a fine. Idk Martial law seems to be coming soon. I expect police or military to be posted at grocery stores at some point. Public transportation here is only available from 4:30 a.m. til 11 p.m. now. Ofc coworker said the 4:30 bus never showed up. *shrugs*

It looks like Trump is thinking about putting on the green light to return to normal. Hes worried about our money. Im actually in favor of this, I cant imagine the dmg that will be done if we run like this. That would mean come what may, people will get sick, people will die. It really seems inevitable anyway.

Oh, so money over people in your mind too? That's genuine coming from you Human lives obviously dont matter to you either. You sound like a piece of shit just like him. Insensitive. Yep, it is insensitive for me to say that those who keep on spreading this shit should essentially fuck off and be put on a beach with the dipshits partying on beaches. Selfish to run around partying and going to stores for non essentials because they are bored and cant sit the fuck home.
Trump makes a move to run business as usual that could get him impeached ASAP for not putting the lives of people in the country first over money. Again, if his dumbass would listen to Andrew Yang this situation could get better for the economy. Cant help stupid people.

You have no idea how a depression era economy will kill people. I for one rely on govt aid for medicine and assistance to live. If our country drops to the bottom like back then, the ramifications will affect more than just me, but all programs to help the less fortunate. The damage caused by a depression will cost more lives than a virus that we cant stop, as is seen now with how it keeps spreading. Its inevitable that it must run its course, what isn't inevitable is to let our country, and the world- to fall to ruin, jeopardizing the stability, the peace, and the safety of many vulnerable people.

You also seem to have no idea how many lives will be lost if they do the gonvack to work. Probably a hell of a lot more than a depression. 6 to 8 weeks isn't going to break us completely Also, strange for you to give 2 shits when you don't work. I work and I wont lose my job, but for the safety of people's health and for the healthcare workers, who also advise the stay home, it is a wise decision. Why would you even want anyone in the healthcare field put into dire circumstances of not enough staff, beds, or equipment like that? That's just STUPID in 2020. This isn't the 1930's People better stop acting entitled to shit they shouldn't spend $ they dont have now. Focus on the responsibility to take care of needs (rent, bills, food) Most americans should be getting unemployment which is better than nothing. Nobody will be evicted during these times and if they are...good luck to the owner getting someone in now. Work out a payment with the landlord, anything is better than nothing.
Let's start with personal responsibility. Partying is not an essential. Overpriced clothes are not essential, Clorox wipes are not an essential when you can use bleach which is cheaper. Eating out because people don't know how to cook is not an essential. Everyone has been privileged and now these adults can stay home and learn the basics they should have learned before moving on there own, or any kids can keep doing chores and help cook while at home. Time to learn what we all learned.
