This is quite the concern with older folks. My mom is near 70 and I'm doing what I can to get her things she needs. She still says "I can go out and grab a few things" That will is great, but when you have people working in businesses and they don't even know they have the virus, that doesn't help my worry. My children's schools are closing Wednesday. I pulled my youngest from going today and tomorrow. Screw that. He has asthma and a cold already can cause problems and has. He's here with me. My 19 year old had to go back to school so they can most likely pack up and return home Tuesday. I will know today what will happen. Yes, people are panicking and yet they keep in going out and into places People just cant stay home for shit. Online ordering comes in handy during these times. Stay safe! I'm gonna try. If I do get sick, my job will pay 14 days of being home. That doesn't include vacation or sick pay earned. My Mom who lives about 85 miles from me and is in her 80's, gets on her little tablet and orders everything she needs and has it delivered Shopping is such a pain right now I go as little as possible...I had to get pool supplies so went online and ordered from Lowes and went and did the curbside pick up, boy I could not believe how crowded they were!! I've never seen Lowe's that crowded...EVER! People must just want to get out and walk around because there were some there with their whole families, Starbucks in hand, just walking around...not even buying anything...I would love to go into the garden center and buy some herbs and flowers right now, but I am waiting it out a while longer...it's not a necessity so........

I feel bad for all the mom and pop shops and restaurants in my area (and all area's) that myself and others support...some have online shops that I can still support, but many don't...some around here didn't make tons of money, but they helped the Senior community...Yes I can still donate to some, but it's more than that...seems for many of them it was their livelihood also they enjoyed having their shops and visiting with their customers...I fear many won't recover and that is sad

I went to a restaurant today. its crazy how careful people are. I know I said that we need to open but Im beginning to think maybe we shouldn't. IDK... the disease isn't going to go away. I only hope that weve bought enough time for a vaccine or treatment to be ready for the next wave.

I only hope that weve bought enough time for a vaccine or treatment to be ready for the next wave. Doctors in France tested the bloodwork from back in December and say that it was around back then before the "spread" So, I think they need to test the pneumonia related deaths last year from vaping. Definitely think this has been around longer. This could be the 2nd wave. We don't know until they go back and look into deaths last summer through January this year.

My friend who is a nurse says shes been listening to a lot of scientists and they too think this has been around awhile. She thinks most of us have already been exposed and that we over reacted

Maybe. However when you have hundreds of people dying in New York and places like Spain and Italy and lack of knowledge of the virus, how do you handle such?

Maybe. However when you have hundreds of people dying in New York and places like Spain and Italy and lack of knowledge of the virus, how do you handle such? Yeah, New York, Italy and Spain got hit hard...unfortunately there is too much still not known about covid-19. I've also read it's been around much earlier, and a lot of people think they might have had it, but never got tested since it wasn't known yet. I think while many get it and get sick and recover, there are many who don't fare well at all, there are also the ones who are asymptomatic and might not know they have it and infect a loved one, or someone else who could get very sick. I do know I don't want to find out how it might affect me, don't want to take that chance...trying to keep my immune strong...

Yeah, I am unsure if I had it, but some of the symptoms were present in late January (maybe February, can't recall exact time) But it was not the flu and had a hell of a time catching my breath and a lot of coughing. Antibodies testing would be fantastic
Also, read how the company I work for is selling infrared thermometers to businesses so they can check for fevers on employees and probably customers. The article also said that the company doesn't use them on their employees (odd of you ask me) and stated that they give out personal thermometers to employees (when they come in) employees in the store I'm at hasn't received a single thermometer. So they paint a public image, but aren't supplying all employees with such.
