Chakra is a concept referring to wheel-like vortices which, according to traditional Indian medicine, are believed to exist in the surface of the subtle body of living beings.[2] The Chakras are said to be "force centers" or whorls of energy permeating, from a point on the physical body, the layers of the subtle bodies in an ever-increasing fan-shaped formation. Rotating vortices of subtle matter, they are considered the focal points for the reception and transmission of energies.[3] Different systems posit a varying number of chakras; the most well known system in the West is that of seven chakras. Muladhara-Base or Root Chakra (ovaries/prostate) Swadhisthana-Sacral Chakra (last bone in spinal cord, the coccyx) Manipura-Solar Plexus Chakra (navel area) Anahata-Heart Chakra (heart area) Vishuddha-Throat Chakra (throat and neck area) Ajna-Brow or Third Eye Chakra (pineal gland or third eye) Sahasrara-Crown Chakra (top of the head; 'soft spot' of a newborn)

I really think that the ancients knew a lot more things about the world, the body and the spirit than we give credit to them for. We seem to think we're quite high and mighty in our age of chemicals and pills.
All of this is science. Prejudice of one science in preference of another don't make much sense. True science requires an open mind and questioning all things.

i think you are right. the ancients did not have all these fancy gadgets to distract them from being in tune or in line with their chakras. Think about tribes that have no contact with our part of the world. They have to be in tune very well with their chakras and what going on around them. natural instincts and intuition masters, where we can only due it partially if at all because we are distracted by so much.

I sort of feel that noise and light pollution and distractions of all sorts get in the way of feeling the closeness the oneness the depth of nature and self..when I consider that even as far back as when people first began to build they had slaves.I wonder how much peace they felt???on such an open earth in all it's beauty yet they were now slaves, were they" in tune"while slaved??? I think as certain groups of people became the rich they were able to be well studied in some cultures, while others received oppression in place of Gods natural law and will upon all the earth.
The fighting monks of the shaolin temple they were absolutely incredible. I think that way back in the beginning the early inhabitants were in perfect harmony with nature and in being so they could naturally know what plant their bodies needed.I think this came as natural to them naturally as it does with other animal species only as time became time and the earth became populated human interaction became and becomes something not so perfect . I think the knowledge of plants medical usages were passed down to families and so on but yeah,I do believe that in the earliest days of our existence we knew this as natural as we breath.

Odin there is something in your manner that speaks highly of your ability to communicate, I applaud your abilities.
My experience with Chakras is limited to a one time event in my life that started me on the whole quest for understanding of deeper spirituality. My uncle mailed me a book on meditation. It described how to put yourself into a meditative state. It gave a few words to use as a mantra to focus on and to clear your mind. I tried it. I cleared my mind and dismissed any thoughts that entered. I came to a point where I became very dizzy, my head began to spin and my sense of the physical started to break down. I stayed on course and it seemed as if I broke through a barrier of some kind. The dizziness stopped, I felt like I had found some solid mental ground, and then an energy slowly began from my prostate and upward. I felt distinct points pulsating in my body all the way up to the top of my head. They pulsated in sequence like strumming a guitar. It went on for at least fifteen minutes and it was amazing. From that point on I knew there was far more to the World than what we were being told.
