Watched a bit of this yesterday & today. Got really sick of seeing each body cam footage and security cam footage. Wouldn't constant playing of that begin to desensitize people? Kinda the same thing with violent movies/music/games?

About 4 weeks. Rumor is 4 people were arrested early monday morning for cutting the power to the security camera at the big apartment complex that they burnt down last riot(it's rebuilt further than it was last year). They were attempting to burn it down again. Seems odd, BUT....the construction site was very scarce with workers on Monday and I thought wtf are they on vacation? I think the workers that were there were redoing the security camera system again. ๐คฏ๐ต

Saw a post for crime calls and it said there was a pile of rocks placed near the government center. Hope they view cameras to see who dropped them off. Obviously someone is paying for rocks to be dumped for rioting These national guard better be ready to kick ass

My guess is there may very well be violence no matter what the verdict is. The outrage is pre-generated.

George Floyd "I ate too many pills"
His drug dealer is pleading the 5th. He should also be tried for the death of George Floyd. Copious amounts of pills found in the vehicle they were in too. He fled to Texas after this happened and is in jail there for crimes committed in Texas. What a fucking mess.

Jury deliberations have started. It's been wild here. National Guard were shot at the other day, and another incident of someone pointing an assault rifle at other guard. Fires being started at random locations. A church burned yesterday. On a corner near the freeway (by downtown) gallons of milk in a pile. Maxine Waters running her mouth here this weekend. Damn near everywhere is boarded up. Big military planes constantly flying overhead People are in from out of town. Some people drove by me when I left work asking if I wanted to go to the bar or if I want to smoke a blunt. I declined lol They were from out of town. Mama always said don't get into a car with strangers lol

They've put up 2 statues in this country of George Floyd. Someone made a meme of the statue adding a pregnant woman statue with George Floyd pointing a gun at the pregnant lady.
They didnt lie in their meme

They've put up 2 statues in this country of George Floyd. Someone made a meme of the statue adding a pregnant woman statue with George Floyd pointing a gun at the pregnant lady. They didnt lie in their meme I think it's appalling they would make statues to that guy. He did nothing. I don't even believe the cop killed him. The drugs and his heart condition killed him. And while I think it was absolutely idiotic and totally asking for it for the cop to have his knee on the guys neck for 8 or 9 minutes, and I do feel the cop was negligent in administering care, the video, to me, doesn't seem to show the officer putting even his full weight on the guy's neck. Just speculation - but to me it seems more like he's just holding his knee there than actually pressing down on him heavily with it. But whatever. Sure, maybe I'm wrong. Chauvin deserves some kind of punishment, either way. But 22.5 years? I don't agree with that. Just a legal lynching. If it was a black cop and a white man that died - no one would be talking about this. Which, when you say that and it pisses people on the left off, it's only because they know it's fucking true. Society doesn't really know about it but for a person on drugs to just suddenly pass out and die in custody - it's not unheard of. There was another case in recent memory. I forget the guy's name, but he was put in the back of a police vehicle, was on drugs....and just died. Cops got in trouble because he was in custody. If you're an overdose in progress but the cops don't know you're in the midst of overdosing...what can you do? Cops deal with the dregs of society every day, people who, quite honestly, the world would be better off without - and they serve and protect them, all the while putting their own safety on the line to help them. But then one goof up, one bad day, a few moments of thoughtlessness because you're fallible, when dealing with some scumbag the world would be better off without? You get 22.5 years in prison. Life ruined. For what? No wonder there is a shortage of police officers. And half the country doesn't care because they hate the cops anyway. And no wonder there is a so-called "code" amongst cops, in which they try to look out for each other. Because they know society won't look out for them. I know all about bad, corrupt, crooked cops. Asshole cops. No doubt. I've seen the bad side of law enforcement. I've see corruption. I've seen the good ol' boys club. And not just bad cops, but murderer cops, as well. I've seen real harm come from gross negligence, where lawsuits were most certainly deserved against law enforcement. But I also know that law enforcement is all that keeps our society from going to total anarchy - when they're allowed to do their jobs. And I know the good ones aren't appreciated enough and deserve some kind of slack in most cases. So that's my thoughts on this. I hope Chauvin gets out much earlier than his sentence and he can move on with his life.

I have to say that I agree; it didnt look like he was even grinding his knee into his neck. Still, it was the result of this action that he died.

The statues are for us to mark how we are against police brutality and excessive force, its not in honor of Floyd.
