As a lady or gent, do you want marriage and kids? I don't, I have enough on my plate with my own person to deal with currently in life, that I can't handle anyone else's issues.

I was never responsible enough to have kids, but I wish I would have been. I think its an important part of life to have children.

That's a good question, naiwen, and I think it's important to realize what you can or can't handle. Being in any relationship has demands and obligations, and a lot of patience to make it work. People just aren't perfect. At all. And we all have our own issues. I think, ultimately, it's very rewarding and one of the best things in life. To have family, to have love, to not be alone. And there is a lot of personal growth involved in making things work, too. |

I have never had more peace and serenity than I do now. I am 100% master of my destiny. No debts at all, home and vehicles all paid for. Money in the bank, retired for 10 years and no one to get on my nerves, not even a partner. Don't have one, not looking for one.
Problem is that I am a fairly attractive man and well set financially. So every once in awhile, a woman will show interest, but I am no longer interested.

I did date this girl for a bit but she was very high maintenance and I got out. I have been alone now for a few years. I do not suffer from either loneliness or depression, so it is easy for me to be alone.

Not a care in the world. lol I know that if I lived alone and other people weren't demanding my attention, it would be a LOT easier for me to focus on many things I want to do for my own personal improvement. Writing, meditation, art, etc.... Not trying to make excuses but yeah it is hard with distractions. I raise a glass to you, sir! |

I know that if I lived alone and other people weren't demanding my attention, it would be a LOT easier for me to focus on many things I want to do for my own personal improvement. Writing, meditation, art, etc.... Not trying to make excuses but yeah it is hard with distractions. I raise a glass to you, sir! Your life will become simplified as you get older. One interesting caveat that you have yet to experience is decreasing testosterone levels. Eventually you will arrive at a point where the mating urge that presently masters you, will die and you will be free. Then you won't have to put up with head games, emotional outbursts, condemnations, jealousy, and being blamed for everything. You will be able to live alone and without "them" driving you crazy. |
