So, I found this book in my dad's house that belonged to his dad. It's called "Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry." It's an actual Masonic book/manual (861 pages long) written in 1871 that deals with all of the elements of Scottish Rite Freemasonry, especially the philosophies, symbolisms and spiritual teachings. Mine seems to be the 1942 edition. This is a really cool book and seems like a rare find, in that you might not find it in your average library, definitely not in your average book store. Anyway - I have a lot of Freemasons in my family tree and this is just pretty cool. It goes through all of the initiative degrees of Masonry and teachings for each degree, etc. Very enlightening and inspiring. Here's the amazon link to the current edition: www.amazon.com/Morals-Ancient-Accepted-Scottish-Freemasonry/dp/1614270929#reader_1614270929

I had a copy of that one too. Its interesting for sure. I was at a home of a bookseller and they had a twenty volume set of free masonry books. I wasnt sure I wanted or needed to buy any more books at the time so I passed.
