My city is in the news with ISIS recruiting people from here. I'd love to gtfo of here!
Its a bit overwhelming at times. I saw one of my ex coworkers on the news regarding this, but he was not one involved, just on the scene when the cameras were rolling in their community. So I will assume this kid knew the people who have been apprehended. They all know one another even though they are from different tribes. They have a community here. Doesn't mean they all are up to something.

If they invaded Europe, these might be seasoned soldiers with a thirst for blood and a fanaticism that makes them both willing to die and willing to kill in the most atrocious and shocking ways.......vs. unseasoned, largely inexperienced and under-funded European soldiers. And would the USA come to their aid? We sat out of WW1 for 3 years, and WW2 for nearly 2 years until we joined in.

the reason i think Rome is off limits is because it houses the Vatican, mostly. Many people have Catholic roots and would see it as a holy war and theyd get out the vote to fight. I just cant fathom Rome falling. What a shame if it did- so much art and history there.

the wikipedia article doesn't mention why they did the attacks, the Time article said it was in retaliation to an Israeli attack on Lebanon.
