Used for meditation, yoga, massage, prayer etc... The sound from these are phenomenal. Playing them has to be relaxing and another way to meditate instead of just turning on a recorded version. By creating the sound yourself I'd think it would be better than just sitting still (for those of us who are high energy) listening to it. I'm pretty wowed by these! I was watching a youtube and was frustrated by instructional voice for meditation. That was distracting. I wanted to see how they were played.
They are kinda pricey also

love them - there is a free 'white noise' app you can get (iOS not sure if on Android) that has the Tibetan singing bowls sound - at first I thought...sounds strange..eerie..but it is actually very soothing!
also: check out hang drums - very cool sound
