This book I'm reading is talking about such, but it's calling out those who capitalize on it in this particular chapter. And so I found that interesting since many artists have tried capitalizing on such. Some have done a very good job with the artistry of it and some have not.

Perhaps I should have put the quoted text in the Aleister Crowley thread

yeah youve got to really be careful when it comes to these ideas to make certain that you ultimately agree with the overview, or else it poisons the mind.

Like following the eating of feces because that was mentioned. Suppose one could say that processed food is shit, therefore the term eating feces would make sense. They weren't using the word shit way back when. Still, people take from witchcraft/magic and portray some sort of false image through art. Nature's energy.. universal energy is by far more magical than a crystal ball, ouija board, tarot cards. Sure it's interesting, but man made, not natural.

Maybe the country should meditate everyday at a specific time. Scientific study could be done if a country did it with interesting results

Well, some people are easily led down the bullshit path. Religion for example. I have this coworker who told my choice of jewelry designs that i wear is evil and that I'm going to hell for not going to church. She also said when the day of reckoning comes, you all will wish you would've listened and went to church. Of course, me being me said, "Unlike you, I embrace the fact that yin and yang exists. We have night and day, the most basic teaching that dark and light exists and that is also within each of us. Your darkness is judging everyone for not doing as you do with attending church. God is not solely in a church, and to believe that, you are being led into judgments and hypocrisy which is the opposite of what church should be teaching you."

well I guess it depends on your definition of witchcraft. If you examine Crowleys definition, you might say that we all do it all the time, to some degree. If youre talking about focusing energies and calling on elemental forces, or divine forces, and asking for power to assert your will then, no.

So you're saying energy isn't a factor?
I'd indulge more, but I am off to work, so this will have to wait. I believe that energy and thought does play a part.
