Things someone say should be taken with a grain of salt till we have evidences to build our trust, no matter where it is said.
Generally, I give benefit of the doubt till I know more the individual.
When we know someone, we know who the person is, trustable for this but not for that. Someone may be all the time late so not trustable for that but will never share a secret.
When someone says doing something but doing not in reality doesn't mean being not trustable. We have to understand the surrounding or the conditions when it was said.
Someone may be really present to others, helping them when in need but forget what was said yesterday.
Trust is something big.

If you reread what I said I mentioned things happen in between what was said. Trust. It matters, and no amount of words can express the importance of it
