Anyone experience anything like this? I love how this brand of Dems feels like they're the only ones that find opposing views offensive, as if none of theirs are offensive to anyone else. I have tons of friends who hold views I strongly disagree with or find offensive. But I also accept that that's the world we live in and people come from different places and that it doesn't mean they are "bad people," it just means they have a different perspective for different reasons. And while I don't agree with those reasons, I respect people enough to give them understanding - understanding that they didn't come from where I come from and probably haven't had many great opportunities to see things from my angle. Or even if they have, it's still human nature to do the easiest thing - which is not look into other peoples' perspectives and just go with what you know. I can forgive people for being human and having faulty views. I can still be friends with those people. This little brand of snowflakes apparently can't. They'll pack up their toys, go home, and poison the country further with their divisive attitude. It truly sickens and saddens me.

If the respect was easy to give the world wouldn't be in this condition.
I believe we have to respect the persons all the time. To respect someone is to see the human being at the core. The one having a soul, an heart and probably doing the best he can. The best he knows.
What doesn't imply to not question their actions. In fact, I believe love imply to question their actions. Not in an authoritarian way but in an interested way.
We can learn by a positive example which is very pleasing because it pulls us up. We can learn also by a negative example which is already a little bit more difficult.
We also learn a lot by our differences through our friendships. It isn't exactly a garden of roses meaning not easy all the time yet, because the love we feel, we're more tolerant to listen the reasons behind actions. The influence is both sides.
But you speak of another thing. It's about a country. The responsibility is at another level. It's astonishing how just one person can make a big difference. And we absolutely don't know where the population will go in that really demanding situation. We certainly have to give Trump this merit: he is giving population an opportunity. The antagonism seen in United States population was pre-existent to this election. Yet this election will require the population to transcend their usual way to resolve conflicts. We hope so because without it we could live the greatest crisis we never have seen since a long time in the country. And in the world given its strategic importance.

In friendship we also have a responsibility, it's to make the relationship worthy for each other. When someone is no more happy or finding something valuable in it, it's just natural to go elsewhere. Or when the distance in values is so big, it may be healthier to not insist. Friendship isn't an obligation.
Adulthood is to see, eyes wide open, what is the best for the persons involved.

This is two sides of the same coin. The intolerance and disrespect for the democrats by the republicans is just as bad, if not worse. Its only with this election that people on the left are really pissed because Trump is worth getting pissed over. I dont mind a Republican president, and I have no qualms with most of their platform but why cant they win with a legitimate presidential-like candidate? I mean, Bush jr??? Trump??? its nuts.

How incredibly filled with love, equality, & peace that setting a trump supporter's hair on fire is how one expresses their "love trumps hate"

I always find it funny how Celebrities will protest a "Wall" or "we are equal" all while living in mansions behind gates to keep people/public out, or surround themselves with guards to keep people "away" if they are so equal why not live among the rest of society with no walls to separate??? but as soon as they see an opportunity to get publicity, they go join the common folk as if to say "we are all equal"...then those who are celebrity musicians charge outrageous amts so those common folks (who they claim to sympathize with), can't afford to go see their concerts...YEAH so much for equality!!!

Why is it that labeling someone based upon their own belief system is the "way" america should be and not based upon respect for one another regardless of personal belief. If someone is an athiest, catholic, mormon, gay, transgender, etc....it does not personally affect my life to discriminate their existence and treat them like shit.
I dont agree fully with democrats or republicans.

I find it odd that no one protested the millions of illegal immigrants that were deported under Obama...Obama deported more immigrants than any President in History...Yet no one seemed to protest...
