Excited is a strange word to use, but I am curiously excited to hear about what they removed from me after surgery and how coherent I will be when they tell me. Hopefully someone else is taking notes after surgery! They are gonna have to repeat this info to me I think. LOL However I may bounce back pretty well, I have no idea! 3-4 hours of surgery (never had a surgery last that long) and not knowing what kind of pain to experience is the scariest part. That's where my anxiety kicks in so I try not to think about it!

I've heard folks say the funniest things coming off of anesthesia (or whatever it's called) yeah, just stick with the excited feeling, but also try to get some sleep these next few days before that night. Well, at least you'll be sleeping when under. hahaha much love! just keep the humor!

Stage IV for me I have a complex case. The bacterial infection perforated and something is on my outside stomach wall (this is rare) My liver and lymph nodes are good. Nothing unusual. No cancer in those. Thank GOD! I will be having Che no, but no radiation because that would harm the internal organs nearby. I also will not lose my hair with this chemo. I am in a pretty good frame of mind with all this! And of course knowing the extent of my surgery helps answer some unknowns. The stomach issue won't be resolved until they go in and get a much better view of what it is. That might add an extra hour to my surgery. (I'll be asleep anyways, so OK) I'm the teaching case for doctors since this is rare. I find that to be pretty cool Keep me in your prayers please and thank you very very much! Stage IV?? Doesn't that mean it has spread to another area??? You are most definitely in my prayers ashima โฅ

It's stage IV because of a tiny spot on the outside lining of my stomach. It could just be from when my colon was perforated back in April to drain the bacterial infection. We truly won't know what that is until surgery is completed and biopsy on that spot being removed. I'm hopeful it's from the infection. Regardless, it has not spread to my liver or lymph nodes. So that is a major blessing!
I'm a nervous wreck. My body is tired, but I can't sleep at all.

If I were you, I would look extensively into statistics on both alternative and orthodox medical treatments...after all cancer meds are big business for the pharmaceutical companies..I have a friend battling cancer right now, and she says according to some of her research, she has come to find out the FDA and Big Pharm hold back cancer research and cures...

Don't forego conventional treatment. Try anything else you like, and seek multiple opinions as to the best conventional approach, but don't walk away from treatment that has an actual proven track record and science behind it.
I have a relative who was diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian cancer about 5 years ago. She's still around and doing well, although she's never been cancer free. If she had gone the alternative route, she would probably be gone now. In the past year, she got to see her oldest daughter walk down the aisle.

I don't like the idea of cancer being big business, but if taking a chemo pill is going to help then I will do it. However, there's not a whole lot of proof that it does any good for Stage II cancer (it helps for stage III though). I only had cancer in my colon and nowhere else, which is a huge blessing! I am cancer free at this moment ๐ค My oncologist will make the decision based upon the no cancer anywhere else. I may not need chemo. I will discuss it with the doctor though.
Now, remember when Billy was saying that people should do the alternative route back on his everything from here to there site?
Per his logic, if I skipped getting surgery I'd still have cancer and 99.9% chance of it spreading and killing me.
WTF

Well I think it also depends on the type of cancer and person's health...I would agree you would want surgery to get any cancer removed...I have known people who have done orthodox treatments and some of them have lived long and healthy lives after getting cancer removed, and others have lost their lives...I can say this though, seems the ones who had radiation treatment fared worse than the ones who took the chemo pills... I think you have to make your own call...and nothing wrong with mixing alternative and orthodox

I won't have radiation because it would damage the organs in that area. The glue on one of my incisions is almost off YAY! Still got 5 more to go. Doctor appointment in 3 weeks to see the surgeon. I will find out my next step. Hopefully the prescription of chemo is one pill a month. Idk. Hoping for an easy stretch regarding that. Dreading going back to work. I miss working, but do not miss the chaos and hell from that place and neighborhood. I get updates and I'm pretty repulsed. They sent my favorite store manager in training to his own store (can only hope he returns) he was assuming he'd get the store I work at, but didn't. So his plan was to have me work days, now I will probably be back to my night shift. not cool
