I didn't realize all these songs were on the tape. But after reading the "tough shit" comment about the songs that were cut, I do recall this. Holy cow it's been years though

I think it's a great listen. Even the twelve full tracks stand up.
Would've been great if he gave machina 2 away on cassette.

That is indeed a very interesting interpretation. Unfortunately, although they released Oceania and and Monuments and *said* they were supposed to fulfill the Teargarden stuff....I never felt like they really did. It came off as a face-saving thing to say and that he just didn't want to say he had abandoned the project. All the Teargarden stuff, all the demos he recorded, of which there are dozens...and live performances of some stuff....I really hope it all sees the light of day someday. I know Oceania and Monuments may technically be Teargarden but yeah. Just never felt like it, so I don't really think of it that way.

Logically that interpretation could sit fine with basic/average fans, however, I do agree that TBK feels like it wasnt finished properly. I trust my intuition with how it feels, it's not completed properly when it comes down to the root, the spirit, the vibe, the energy of the project. I'm sorry but not sorry to say that Oceania and Monuments was the "easy way out" Life (fool's journey)isn't about the easy way out. That doesn't seem to be the motto Billy has presented himself as (the easy way) work his ass off kind of guy to just do what's easy? Nope. How can that sit well with him? I can pretend it's completed like the other fans, but I know it's not.

Maybe the reason he has been holding back the machina reissue and the new album has something to do why he has never finished Teargarden proberly... maybe he is waiting for something... or someone... God knows, do you, God? Or does anyone else know what's going on behind the curtains? I surely don't. I am not in OZ.

I don't know a thing about releases or waiting. I give up on it and just hope to catch an update whenever there's a preorder, but eh, couldn't afford it even if there was, so idc anymore

Timing is everything, as they say. Of course we've waited so freakin long..... Honestly this will probably be the first one I buy. Just like Machina was my first SP album I bought, and then worked backwards. Machina has a very special place in my heart.
